Finding Information

Information at this web site is categorised in several ways:

  • If you are researching a specific STD, go to the STD Index page. Once there, you can choose the STD of interest. You can select information at the level you need: Essential Facts, More Details, or Diagnosis and Management Guidelines.

  • If you are experiencing symptoms which you believe may be due to STD, the "Should I See a Doctor?" section may help you determine what might be the most likely diagnosis and what you should do about it.

  • If you belong to a specific "risk group" there is a Targeted Information section which describes the possible health risks and the special services Clinic 275/ STD Services can offer you. This section also has information specifically for health care professionals and students.

  • If you are considering having a sexual health check-up, the Clinic 275 section explains the process.

  • Public health information is categorised according to Statistics, Publications and Notifications

  • Further information describes the role of STD Services.
